Our guesthouse is situated in Paknajol, just two minutes' walk from Thamel. Thamel is the main tourist area in Kathmandu, where the streets are packed with hotels and bars, shops and cafes. Paknajol offers an escape from the chaos and hassle of Thamel, showing the traveller a more genuine and pleasant side of Kathmandu, yet without moving too far from the convenience of Thamel's shops and restaurants. We feel this is an ideal location for any traveller or visitor to Kathmandu. From our rooftop, you can look out over the city towards the famous Buddhist monument of Swayambhu. We also have a huge balcony and lounge area where you can relax, read, write postcards or listen to music, whilst we bring you your meals and snacks. We will try to prepare anything that you ask you, or you can choose from our menu or join us in eating our Nepali food in the evening. We would also be delighted to bring breakfast to your room in the mornings. We have 11 rooms altogether. 9 of these rooms have private bathrooms, with toilet and shower. When you arrive, we will happily show you all available rooms so that you can choose one which suits your requirements. Whilst you are here, we can also arrange for your laundry to be washed, and we can deliver your post. We will store your luggage whilst you are out of Kathmandu, and we can organise trekking trips, bus or plane tickets, rafting, bunjy jumping, or anything else you might be interested in.
